Vinelog
Overview
Wine discovery built from bottles, producers, regions, restaurants, and taste.
Vinelog started as a way to make wine discovery more personal. It now connects bottle search, tasting history, producers, regions, deals, and the restaurant and winery work growing around it. The shared data matters because each part of the product can use what the others have already learned.
Why I built it
Wine software often treats the bottle, producer, restaurant, and person drinking it as separate records. Vinelog keeps those relationships together so a recommendation can use more than a score or a popularity list.
Project timeline
WinePicks
A recommendation and discovery system connected people to wines through taste, then carried that intelligence into restaurant services.
Vinelog
WinePicks became a consumer product and a deeper model of wines, producers, regions and their relationships.
The system expands into Sotto
Vinelog, Sommwise, and Ensalle now share one hospitality entity system across discovery, education, wineries, and restaurants.
