Now that he's out in Redmond, I haven't seen Faisal since PDC. He was in town last night on his way out to Qatar, so it was good to catch up with him and another friend and former colleague over dinner. No, let me rephrase that. We didn't have dinner. We ate meat.
The location was none other than Churrascaria Plataforma, the all-you-eat Brazilian BBQ which I haven't been too since the infamous meat hangover back in Dec 2003.
The premise, as I mentioned previously, is simple: you have a small disk in front of you. The waiters walk around with skewers of all types of meat and, if your disk is green, you get meat.
Against my better judgement I was even guilted into desert, but I did have the foresight this time to have fruit salad, certainly the most healthy - and least meat-like product - available.
So far, I'm not feeling the ill effects of gorging myself this time, which is good because we certainly did not show much restraint last night.
Also hooked up with other friends afterwards at Kush's new location. I managed to remember my camera this time, so I'll post some pictures tonight when I copy them off.
