Death of a Tablet, Part Deux

And another one gone, another one gone, another one bites the dust.

Not a good week for Toshibas. Rory is not the only one who has lost  a lost a tablet recently, as mine decided to stop working earlier in the week. (Sorry, in light of this post, I just had to throw in the deux!)

Actually, I should clarify. My laptop is not dead, but the hard drive did come to a screeching, 7,200 RPM death. Luckily I was able to resuscitate the laptop with an old 20 GB, 4,400 RPM drive I was able to scrounge up. ( Thanks, Willie... ). More on my repair & customer service experiences in a later post.

So anyways, I'm not totally sans Tablet, which is good considering I couldn't really get through class without it. That in and of itself is interesting to me, considering I went to 4 years of undergradutate (in Computer Science, no less) without a laptop and all those years of elementary and secondary education before that .

Sadly, it was still under warranty and so I won't be sporting a new M400 just yet (though I may still pick up a DualCor or one of these mobile lifestyle PCs at some point this year).

On a related note, sources tell me that we may soon be able to welcome a new member to the Inkosphere (is that what we call it these days?), as Alex has been talking about picking up the M400 when it is released. ( Actually, I'm still waiting for him to figure out how to tether the 700w so I can pick up a new phone + EVDO. Or to review the 700w. Either way ).
