Tablets that aren't Tablet PCs...

... or, for that matter, very portable.

First, Wacom gave us a  (very kick-ass) 21" LCD with built-in digitizer. Now they've announced a $50 "consumer-level" tablet and a Bluetooth-enabled tablet. Imagine that, when you plug these devices in, your PC automatically gets the functionality of a "real" Tablet PC. As far as I understand, this will be the case in the Longhorn timeframe. Maybe this whole "writing" thing isn't really dead like some people make it out to be.

That reminds me - I still have an old Wacom tablet sitting at home that I can't even use anymore. Maybe I should order a Serial to USB adapter.
