This is old news by now, but I never got around to posting it until now.
The Smoking Gun: “Richard Hatch, the first winner of CBS's "Survivor," was charged today with failing to report his $1 million reality TV windfall to the Internal Revenue Service.”
I don't know what's worse: that he thought he could win money like that on national television and not declare it, or that it took the IRS four to five years to figure out that he didn't report it. I guess no one from the IRS watched the first season of Survivor...
