My last exam was on Thursday. Altough I originally intended to do the the Writing Competition, I decided to forgo it for a few reasons. First of all, working full-time and doing Law Review for no credit wasn't really an option. Besides, regardless of how 'presitigious' it is, the thought of cite checking is less than appealing.
So I'm officially done with my first year of law school... only three left!
Of course, there's no rest for the weary - the Summer Semester started last night, and with it, my Civil Procedure class.
(A full-time student normally takes this course during the first year. Other evening students are taking this over the summer in order to transfer to the day program. In my case, even though I am not transferring, it serves three purposes: 1) allows me to take Corporations in the Fall, and 2) allows me to take 8 credits in the Fall and Spring instead of 10 each, and 3) allows me to know take it with friends.)
I'm going to sit down this weekend and post some reflections on my overall experience at law school so far. All in all, it's been very positive.
Once I get my grades, I'll also let you know how my 'least work possible' strategy worked out. It sure sounded good on paper, but we'll see how it works in practice!
