A history of OneNote

Chris gives us a little history of how OneNote came to be.

I use OneNote extensively on the Tablet PC, of course, but I've found it indispensible on my desktop as well. It's the perfect place to capture those fleeting, short-term bits of information that may or may not be important in the long term.

That said, there are still three things left on my wish list:

  • *** Extensibility and/or a programming model ***
  • The ability to use a Journal-like mode
  • Proper flow for Ink.

I wonder if any of these changes are in store for the upcoming SR1 that Mike mentions on his Office 2003 blog.

Update: Since I agree with Jason, the first one is now underlined, bold and in italics. I even threw in a few asterisks for good measure :)
