Omer pointed me to Fontifier. It's a cool site that allows you to convert your handwriting to a font. It's pretty easy - I used my tablet.
The actual font was... ok, in quality. The output was a bit jagged, but I'll play with it more - it may have been on my end. The cool thing is that you can just draw letters and stuff in freeform bitmap format and the tool will worry about converting it for you - so you don't need to mess with any other software.
It's free, of course. How useful it really is... well, that's for you to decide :)
