There's been some talk about the "divergence" of C# and VB.NET in Whidbey and beyond.
I'd be curious to see what happens here and how VB.NET and C# can differentiate themselves as more than just a facade over MSIL, adding specific value add in one over the other. Maybe Eric Rudder will let on at the VSLive! keynote.
The nice thing, of course, is that anything new and revolutionary in VB.NET still helps C# developers, because at the end of the day, all about the runtime (stupid).
