Back in March, Texas Instruments introduced the WANDA prototype, which is basically a Pocket PC phone running on TI's new OMAP processor and incorporates GSM/GPRS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth - the trifecta of wireless connectivity.
I just saw a picture of this in the September 2003 issue of PocketPC magazine. The PocketPC magazine article isn't posted yet, but I did manage to find another picture of this online.

Impressive. Now if it only had a built-in 2 or 3 megapixel camera!
On a related topic, I bought a 15GB iPOD a few months back to replace my aging Archos Jukebox Recorder. Let me tell you, these devices are slick. Apple devices are so well designed. I only wish they would concentrate more on mobile devices that were compatible with the Windows platform.
Could you imagine an iPOD that ran Windows MOobile 2003 with GSM, Wi-Fi, a camera, and a color screen? If it were close to the same form factor, I'd sell all my other gadgets and buy it tomorrow.
