What a beautiful weekend it was. It reminds me of why I pay so much to live here - there's really nothing better than a nice spring day in NYC. I also finished up on a major project I was working on at work. I feel quite refreshed, and I'm finally starting to gain some momentum and motivation to work on all those things I've been meaning to get to for some time. I've also started to actually write down the things I want to do - it's a lot easier when you have a list. Otherwise, I find myself getting bogged down and never actually getting to them!
I finally got around to orering Essential .NET: Volume 1, The CLR. I'm not really sure why it took so long, since I ordered it online, but either way, I should be getting it on Thursday. I'm looking forward to some nice, light reading for the weekend.... :)
I also noticed that Victor has posted about a Bible web service. I maintain a religious site for Lutherans, and this is a cool feature I am going to add in as I convert the site to ASP.NET. It would be neat if it were searchable, but it's a start.
I'm also working on a site for another non-profit organization that I am involved in. I finally got around to working on it a little last night, and it's definitely coming along.
Speaking of which, I'm looking for a good, free ASP.NET menu control. I know someone had posted about it on here a few weeks back, but I can't seem to find it now. I found a few out there on the Internet, but they were either rather "complicated" or not free, and I'd prefer not to have to write one myself. I'm going to check ASP.NET again though, since the site was apparently down last night.
In the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions and/or experiences with any such controls, please point me in the right direction.
