Greg, I was going to post this in the comments of your Snob posting follow-up message, but thought it was better to say to a more general audience. Again, I apologize.
I was making generalizations about my experiences with a few. But please realize I am only sharing my experiences - those comments are valid for the group am talking about. Of course, that group may not be representative of the VB developer population as a whole.
As I've said before, my point was not to insult all VB developers.
The original post was made at 1:07am, after a long day of dealing with bad code written by that group. I saw Andrew's post and it got me riled up. I apologize - as anyone who gets to know me knows, I can definitely get worked up about things, and I posted in haste.
I should implement the 2-minute rule for posting too..
I was just using OOP as an example. What I was trying to say was that OOP is a relatively simple concept - so someone who didn't take the time to understand that isn't likely to have taken the time to learn more complex things...
I don't feel like I'm arrogant, and I certainly didn't intend that to come across that way. I always feel like I have something to learn. I am young and inexperienced and the thing I have going for me is that I'm passionate about this stuff. Obviously we all are, or else we wouldn't be blogging.
So in conclusion - I apologize, please excuse my apparent "snobbiness", and let's put this to bed once and for all.
