Ok. I'm fed up. I need a new ASP.NET web host...
Here's my situation. I have three domains for three different non-profit domains. I also have 2-3 other personal domains. I'm guessing total disk usage between all the sites would be 50 megs maximum. All are extremely low bandwidth - I'd say a few hundred megs per month total. And I'm funding them out of pocket for the time being, so I need something cheap...
ASPWebServer.com sounded great - 10 domains for 100$ per year. No SQL Server but I could use Access which was fine, especially since I'm caching DataSets anyways. Unfortunately, as I've mentioned in the past, they still haven't figured out how to get ASP.NET working.
Alex recommended CrystalTech. They offer 5 domains for 20$ per month. Their customer service is excellent. The only problem is that the other domains are not "real" and to get e-mail on any but the primary domain (and I would need e-mail addresses on each of them), , it's an additional 8$ per month per domain - somewhat cost prohibitive.
WebHost4Life was recommended on the WIN_TECH_OFF_TOPIC list. They have a 10$ per month plan, and you can add virtual domains for 15$ per year per domain - I guess it works like CrystalTech, but the difference is you get free e-mail on those domains. It works out to just under 17$ per month for all my domains, and even includes 150 MB of SQL Server among other things.
I'm still checking into some of the details, but right now they're on the top of my list.
In the meantime, can anyone recommend a better hosting company for my needs, or can tell me something good or bad about WebHost4Life ??
Thanks!
