A number of months back I was looking for an ASP.NET web host. I stumbled upon ASPWebServer.com, which seemed to fit my needs very well: they have a 100$ per year reseller program where you can host up to 10 domains (and unlimited sub-domains).
I had about 5-6 domains of my own that I wanted to get online, all with extremely low traffic. I also maintain a site for an for an organization my father is involved in as well as a not-for-profit I'm involved in. The reseller account allowed me to give them acces - a nice side effect.
Granted, there was no SQL Server even available, but on these sites it wasn't a big deal using Access - especially since I'm caching my datasets anyways.
There's only one problem - they claim there are security issues with .NET and ASP.NET doesn't work right. They've given me instructions (removing accounts on particular files) to get an ASPX page working, but those with a code-behind assembly still don't work.
I'm getting a CS1595 error.
Has anyone else had similar problems? If so, how did you resolve them? This has dragged on for a number of months - and I'd love to have a reasonable solution I could give them.
I'd recommend ASPWebServer.com if only they could get ASP.NET working!
